Phi Delta Theta’s philanthropy is the LiveLikeLou Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to fighting ALS by funding research and supporting families affected by ALS. The organization is named after our brother and baseball hall of famer, Lou Gehrig, a member of Columbia University’s chapter in 1925. Lou was one of the first and most prominent cases of ALS, a disease that remains untreatable nearly 80 years after his death. Phi Delta Theta fundraises for LiveLikeLou through our philanthropy week we host once each semester. It consists of various activities such as the Queen of Hearts dinner and a charity soccer tournament in the Fall, plus Beads & Beignets and a charity raffle in the Spring.
